Based in London, New Zealand born sculptor, Louise Dentice has been exhibiting internationally since 2001. Working primarily in ceramic and bronze, she produces sculpture, medallic art and jewellery.
Influences in her work are wide ranging; Mayan pottery through to surrealist painting are stylistically apparent in the pieces. Functional forms, architectural features and wildlife inform shape and surface treatments. A play with scale and physical tension is often present within the artworks and reoccurring themes are journey, fear and expectation.
Louise is a member of the British Art Medal Society (BAMS), Medal Artists of New Zealand (MANZ) group and the International Federation of Medal and Coin Makers (FIDEM).
